Really delightful for the first ep. I wasn’t expecting that in particular, though xD Gorgeous women, charming men, beautiful poetry, nice animation and traditional music, of course! Few jokes here and there may sound strange but they don’t annoy. It actually feels like I was reading The Pillow Book or The Tale of Genji. Well this is all has to do with Hyakunin Isshu, first of all, and the stories behind this grand work of literature.

The first episode was excellent. Just… everything. Animals which look like an animals, situations, I’m falling in love with polar bear btw, and of course voices!! Soooo great! Soooo cute!
“Don’t care about the past, enjoy the present”. The man in front of me is Yaichi-dono, the one who taught me that. Were you telling that to yourself, so that you can be like that?
I guess we all squealed a little bit, haha x) Suwabe-san, you don’t just use that kind of voice, there’ll be victims xD And Kamiyan is definitely flawless in this role!
But anyway, great start for the new season and Matoba-san is already here. Ah, I love Matoba-san, you gotta love precious villains of Natsume Yuujinchou! The season is going to be darker, I guess, but it’s great that there’s still light and funny and heartwarming scenes.
I also really liked Tanuma’s scene as well as Nyanko-sensei’s bossy and protective attitude x)
